Museum dedicated to Maurits Cornelis Escher, presenting drawings combining perfect execution and abundant imagination

This excellent museum is dedicated to Maurits Cornelis Escher, a draughtsman and engraver who distinguished himself with works that deceive our senses. His drawings (over 2,000) combine perfect execution and abundant imagination in the service of impossible structures. Many of his works are presentations of well-known geometric transformations such as translation, reflection, rotation and homothety. A tireless traveler, he produced most of his work in the Netherlands.

Un des meilleurs musées des Pays Bas

Visite en famille de ce musée. Nous ne connaissions pas très bien l'artiste avant de faire cette visite, mais nous ne regrettons pas. Le palais vaut en lui même une visite (de l'exterieur et a l'interieur, avec lustres, parquets, chandeliers incroyables...), et les oeuvres sont a découvrir ! Des installations ludiques, impressionnantes... C'est une excellente visite en famille. On recommande !
