Museum with some paintings by Van Gogh, Picasso, Francis Bacon, Kandinsky, Monet or the Cobra movement in The Hague
Built by Berlage in 1935, this museum has various departments, including that of modern art. Particularly interesting are the works of the De Stijl school, whose best representatives are Theo van Doesburg, the movement's initiator, and above all Piet Mondrian, whose monumental work is usually on display in several rooms. The museum also features works by Van Gogh, Picasso, Francis Bacon, Kandinsky, Monet and the Cobra movement. One wing is devoted to fashion. There are also a number of excellent temporary exhibitions.
