Beautiful museum for admirers of beautiful books, housed in the former home of Baron Van Westreenen Van Tiellandt in The Hague

Close to Central Station, this beautiful museum for admirers of fine books is housed in the former residence of Baron Van Westreenen Van Tiellandt (1783-1848), a great collector of manuscripts. In addition to Egyptian, Greek and Roman antiquities, it houses a collection of 350 manuscripts, including superb medieval works with miniatures and illuminations. A new section devoted to modern books reveals the secrets of graphic composition.
