This museum is the result of a merger between the Scheveningen Museum and the Maritime Museum. It is organized around two themes: the history of the village of Scheveningen and its main activity at the time, fishing. Navigation instruments, traditional costumes, ship models and documents on various fishing techniques are all on display. The site is a must for shellfish lovers, with over 25,000 specimens brought back from all seas by these great Dutch travelers. Temporary exhibitions are also organized.
