The origins of this church date back to the Middle Ages, with the tower probably built in the late 15th century and the remains of another church dating from 1300. It boasts a number of historic features: the baptismal font dating from 1655, the pulpit dating from 1682 and a beautiful marble tomb dating from 1623. The church has undergone several renovations, including the tower in 1954. Central heating was installed in 1920. The graves around the church date from the period 1830-1873. The superb organ, inaugurated in 1849, has been renovated.
