Building from 1737 where you can admire a sumptuous staircase and paintings representing biblical scenes in Edam
This building dates from 1737. The entrance, flanked by a monumental double door framed in sandstone, is in the Louis XIV style. The town's coat of arms can be seen above the entrance. You can also admire a sumptuous staircase and paintings depicting biblical scenes. The former courthouse, with its lovely frescoes, is also often open to the public. The last stable is also open to the public, as part of the town's museum.
