STADSKASTEEL OUDAEN
Two strong points for this well-known Utrecht restaurant: it's extremely well located and very lively, with tables set up on the old canal in fine weather. The restaurant is housed in one of the city's most beautiful buildings, a sort of medieval fortress to great effect. The complex has served successively as a home, a hospice and a student residence. The decor is simply superb. The menu is simple and appetizing, with salads, broodjes and omelettes at lunchtime, and burgers, fish and meat dishes in the evening.
