This café is located on the very authentic square where the fish market once stood. It's a rather atypical address for the Netherlands, with a unique historical elegance. You can also have lunch here, with classic Dutch brasserie dishes (fried eggs on toast, meat croquettes and soups). The pastries, however, are what the place is famous for, notably the famous appelbollen, apple-filled dumplings. The ideal place to enjoy a pastry and a coffee in a timeless setting.
