JACHTHUIS ST HUBERTUS
Hunting lodge, a masterpiece by Berlage, at the northern entrance of the Hoge Veluwe National Park, visit with guide only.
The Saint-Hubert hunting lodge was designed by Berlage and is considered his great masterpiece. It stands at the northern entrance to the park and can only be visited with a guide. Berlage also designed the garden and the interior of the pavilion. The building, with its 30 m tower and ponds, is characterized by its highly geometric forms. The pavilion is dedicated to the patron saint of hunters, Saint Hubert. Every detail has been carefully chosen, and the whole exudes a certain melancholy. Helene Kröller-Müller died here in 1939.
