Martinitoren, the old gray, is the pride of all inhabitants, with the first galleries, with steps and a view
The Martinitoren, affectionately nicknamed "Olle Grieze" (the old grey), is the pride and joy of all its inhabitants. It was built between 1465 and 1482. At 97 metres high and six storeys high, it is the country's third tallest tower. The first three galleries can be climbed daily. the 311 steps will take you to the top of Groningen, where you can admire the fabulous... and breathtaking view! You'll stop at several points to admire the bells - 12 in all. This is a visit not to be missed under any circumstances: you won't regret it!
