Located to the north of the city, the Prinsentuin is a very pleasant park in which to take a stroll. It was created in 1648, by order of Prince Willem Frederik de Nassau, and 150 years later became public thanks to King William I. Renovated several times, today it looks just as it did in the 19th century. It houses a bandstand dating from 1822, as well as a small harbor attracting water sports enthusiasts. During the summer months, you can enjoy free concerts on Sunday afternoons, as well as various family activities.
