FROM KOOG
On the west coast of Texel, De Koog is an authentic, historic and touristic village, almost on the North Sea.
Located on the west coast of Texel, De Koog is the island's seaside resort. It has some 1,500 inhabitants, but this number obviously rises in the summer season. It's a historic, touristy village, almost right on the North Sea. In fact, only two rows of dunes separate it from the beach. Once a fishing village, today it's an authentic place that's easy to visit and sure to please. The church, dating from 1415, is well worth a visit. Good to know: nightlife is very active here.
