A charming little square with a statue dedicated to Sint Amor, with a beautiful atmosphere, a place where it is good to stroll
Charming little square on which stands the statue dedicated to Sint Amor, who was, according to legend, a priest from Aquitaine who first settled in Rome and then lived as a hermit in Munster Bilzen (Belgium) and then near the basilica of Saint Servais in Maastricht. He died in Maastricht during a pilgrimage and was buried in a chapel on the present site of the square. The statue dates from 1951. It is a place where it is good to stroll and where temptations (cafes, shopping) are very numerous. Nice atmosphere.
