Formerly a branch of the Dutch Institute of Architecture in Rotterdam, Bureau Europa, a platform for architecture and design, has been operating independently since 2013. The center regularly organizes workshops, exhibitions and readings by prestigious speakers. At the heart of the bureau's concerns is Europe, with a varied program. The buildings once housed the management offices and showrooms of the Sphinx glass, crystal and ceramics factories that made Maastricht great.
