SINT-CATHARINAKERK (SAINT CATHERINE'S CHURCH)
This church dedicated to Catherine of Alexandria, houses two large towers, 73 meters high, inspired by the cathedral of Chartes
Located on the site of a former medieval church, this church is dedicated to Catherine of Alexandria. Designed in the neo-Gothic style by Pierre Cuypers, it represents a high point in his career. It was built between 1861 and 1867 at a cost of 279,000 florins. Note the two 73-meter high towers, inspired by Chartres Cathedral. The church was restored after damage during the Second World War. It has been listed since 1972.
