Klokgebouw, built in 1928 and used since 1929 by Philips, was used for the manufacture of Philite, i.e. bakelite
Klokgebouw is a building in the former industrial district of Philips, Strijp-S, built in 1928 and used by Philips since 1929. It was used for the production of " Philite" or bakelite, which was renamed by Philips. In the 1970s, plastic and metal processing plants were installed. Originally the building had 7 floors and the clock and tower were added in the 1930s. A true symbol of the city and its current renaissance, the building was recently renovated and transformed into a place for outings.
