Klokgebouw is a building in the former industrial district of Strijp-S, built in 1928 and used by Philips from 1929 onwards. It was used to manufacture " Philite ", or bakelite, as the company renamed it. In the 1970s, plastic and metal processing plants were added. Originally, the building had 7 floors. The clock and tower were added in the 1930s. A true symbol of the city and its current renaissance, the building has recently been renovated and transformed into a place for outings.
