On Breda's central square, the Grote Markt, stands the city's most important and renowned monument: the Church of Our Lady. Built in Gothic style between 1468 and 1547, it is currently undergoing a restoration program that will last until 2027. The 97 m-high tower is superb, and its carillon includes 49 bells. The church's interior is home to numerous tombs, including those of the Nassau family. The most imposing is that of Englebert II de Nassau.
