Vanessa Marques Cabacinha, a talented young woman in her thirties, paints pretty modernazulejo designs on tiles in this cosy little store in an Alfama alley. You can watch her paint on site, and she'll explain all about her art if you're interested. But Vanessa doesn't just makeazulejo tiles, she's had the ingenious idea of transforming them into trivets or other decorative objects with contemporary motifs. Pretty and useful at the same time! An original souvenir for yourself or as a gift.
