The origins of this brand date back to 1887, when two Germans, Ferdinand Claus and Georges Schweder, founded the first soap and perfume factory in northern Portugal. Descending from the miradouro of São Pedro de Alcântara, you'll come across one of their stores on your right. Your eye will immediately be drawn to the retro, colorful packaging, reminiscent of the art deco style of the 1930s. The bewitching scents of the soaps (available as candles, etc.) will make you want to wrap yourself in foam.
