Every Saturday, Calle Anchieta fills up with stalls selling second-hand books and postcards. Books range from old to new, and prices vary according to your negotiating skills. As the street isn't very long, there are only about twenty stalls. However, that's enough to make some finds, while escaping for a while from the crowds that invade the streets of Chiado on Saturdays. Afterwards, all you have to do is sit on the terrace of the Café A Brasileira with your book and enjoy the Lisboan way of life.
