Tower of Belém, whose purpose was to defend the access to the port and which served as the residence of the captain of the port.

What about this magnificent symbol of Lisbon? What about the Manueline elegance of the construction of the Torre de São Vicente (from 1515 to 1521)? A blend of Renaissance and exoticism including memories of the Koutoubia of Marrakech! Know that in the past this delicate sentinel stood in the middle of the Tagus! The tower was intended to defend access to the harbour and was also used as a residence by the harbour master. The interior doesn't have much interest though. Remember to take a ticket coupled with the monastery that cuts off the line.

Très jolie à voir, la promenade et le parc pour y accéder sont très jolie à voir aussi. Vu la chaleur le jour de la visite nous ne sommes pas monté. La queue était trop longue.

Très belle tour de défense mais vu la trop grosse chaleur ce jour là (36°c) on n'a pas fait la visite et surtout elle n'autorise que 120 personnes ) chaque visite. J'avoue qu'elle est belle depuis l'extérieur.

Visite très agréable avec une belle vue. À éviter en forte période d'affluence même s'il existe un système de flux pour réguler les montées et descentes d'escalier. Ne rater pas les pâtisseries Pasteis de Nata avant de partir, un vrai régal
