Time difference Lisbon
1 hour gap with France: when it is noon in Paris, it is 11am in Lisbon all year round. In Portugal, the changeover to summer time takes place on the last Sunday in March, and the changeover to winter time on the last Sunday in October.
Opening hours Lisbon
To see / To do Lisbon
Opening times are fairly similar to those in France (between 9am and 7pm). Please note that many historic sites have summer and winter opening hours. Be sure to check their websites. Here, there are no daytime siesta breaks like in Spain. If you're on a guided tour, take the morning session (especially in summer, because of the heat). The museum is generally closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, and on December 25, January1 and Easter Day.
Enjoying yourself Lisbon
Traditional restaurants tend to be open for lunch and dinner, with a break in between. Here we don't eat too late, and kitchens generally close around 2pm at lunchtime and 10pm in the evening. Recently opened restaurants are often open continuously from 12pm to 10pm, or even 11pm. Monday is the closing day for most. In August, most Portuguese go on vacation, and you'll find many establishments closed. This can be a little frustrating.
Take a break Lisbon
Overall, the schedules are quite similar to those in France. For coffee shops and bars open during the day, they operate continuously from 8am to 8pm or even 9pm/22pm. The opening and closing times can be modified according to the time of year (example: Christmas).
(To) please yourself Lisbon
Most stores are open Monday to Saturday, from 10am to 1pm and 2pm to 7pm. Be careful, however, some shops may close on Mondays and on weekends, while shopping centres are open from 10am to midnight every day (even on Sundays for the majority).
Get out Lisbon
Bars open in the evening close at 2am on average, but they are often quite empty before midnight (Lisboetes leave home quite late). If in the past the night life of Bairro Alto lasted until the early hours of the morning, that time is over. Some places close later and the clubs, of course, are open until around 4-6am. To celebrate until dawn, you will have to go to Lux Fragil
