In the beautiful garden Bagh-e-Shahi, or the garden of kings, Abdur Rahman (1880-1901) has built a large rectangular palace in mid-English style, half mughal. The roof is flat but surmounted by a dome. The building has seven arcades on one side, nine on the other. Renovated on several occasions, the palace is currently occupied by the governor. The government offices are located in Bagh-e-Kawkab (the garden of the star), west of Shahi, where Pazira and his family lived.
