The last Mughal garden in Afghanistan is planted with chauderon, iris, and its aisles are lined with old plane and cypress trees. It is probably the best preserved Mughal garden in Afghanistan, thanks to generations of dedicated gardeners. It was rehabilitated in the late 1990 s. It was Emperor Babur who oversaw the development of these gardens in 1508-1509. At the time, it was a park with many orange trees, lemon, grenadiers, cypresses, plane trees, etc. The emperor often came into these gardens to rest, think or seek refuge. At the beginning of the th century King Pazira Khan, who loved these gardens, built a small summer pavilion for him and his family. This monument was restored in 1994.
