The artisans of Kigali, chased away from the city centre, have joined together and gathered in this small village of wooden shops near the sports circle and the French school. Rwandan handicrafts are represented by elongated wooden statues of jacaranda, masks, goat skins, imigongo (paintings based on cow dung) ... The majority of the pieces are however Congolese. You will find a host of small shops quite similar with friendly and never aggressive sellers, even if you don't buy! Prices are haggling.
