Three institutions (national gendarmerie, communal police inspectors and judicial police) make up the national police of Rwanda. There is a number to call if you are abused by a policeman: 3511. The Rwandan police is waging a merciless war under the table. In 2017, 200 police officers were dismissed for corruption. Conversely, citizens are also targeted; never offer money to a policeman to solve a problem. Fines are paid via the Irembo website. In the event of a road accident, call 113.
