Bralirwa, for Brasseries et Limonaderies du Rwanda, a subsidiary of the Dutch company Heineken, is Rwanda's largest brewing company and largest private employer. The first factory, still in operation, was established in Gisenyi, on the shores of Lake Kivu, in 1959. It produces Primus, Amstel, Mützig, and of course Heineken. A factory in Kigali, in partnership with The Coca-Cola Company since the 1970s, has enabled it to increase and diversify its production of carbonated drinks (Coca-Cola, Fanta, Sprite, etc.).

Bralirwa is the country's largest brewing company producing beer and soft drinks and is located in Kigali. A member of Heineken since 1957, it is also a bottling partner of The Coca Cola Company since 1974. Bralirwa offers several brands of beer: Primus, Mützig, Turbo Roi, Amstel, Heineken, Legend... This establishment also produces local drinks such as Vital'O and the energy drink Guépard, as well as sodas such as Coca Cola, Fanta, Sprites and Krest Tonique.
