After about ten kilometers and one hour of dirt road from the main road at Kayove (to be covered by 4WD or motorcycle cab), we arrive on the shores of Lake Kivu, in an idyllic setting. The Rushel Kivu Resort, a small seaside resort in itself, nestled between palm trees and a vast coffee plantation, gives the feeling of being isolated from the world. Serenity, calm and beauty characterize the place. Restaurant on site and many activities: swimming, beach volleyball, canoeing, walking, visit to the coffee washing station of Kinunu.

Rushel Kivu Resort is a beach resort located on the shores of Lake Kivu, between palm trees and a vast coffee plantation. It offers spacious and comfortable rooms with a breathtaking view of the lake and the greenery surrounding the beach. This resort also has a restaurant offering local and European cuisine accompanied by an exquisite selection of French wines, fine spirits and local drinks. It serves a Mediterranean breakfast of locally grown fruit and fresh bread. Rushel Kivu Resort also hosts special events in their lush gardens and beach under beautiful white tents.

Sehr ruhige Anlage. Ein Besuch ist sehr zu empfehlen.
Wenn möglich sollte man allerdings mit dem Boot an- und/ oder Abreisen.
Die Straße dort ist Im allgemeinen sehr schlecht.
Sie wird im oberen Teil aktuell ausgebaut.
The downsides are 11 km of dirt track in poor condition (allow extra 10-15 min relative to google maps estimate) and rooms can be too warm at night (24C at night, no aircon)
Zijn er met onze voltallige groep vertrokken met het onaangename gevoel serieus in de zak te zijn gezet.
Best van alles vooraf de prijs vragen en op papier laten zetten!!!!
