The members of the Coopérative des Producteurs Artisanaux de Butare (COPABU), founded in 1997, produce in their workplaces and deliver to the counter according to their capacity. There are now nearly a thousand of them! The range of products is very varied: jacaranda wood carvings, basketry, forging, greeting cards... The prices are set by the craftsman. To complete the visit, or for those who want to wait while others stroll around the cooperative, a coffee-shop (Nehemiah's), just opposite, offers a very good coffee and various smoothies.
