Julienne, Julie or Juju (for her friends) welcomes you in her beautiful childhood house, which she has completely renovated, while keeping its original style. At the disposal of her guests: 3 bungalows and 4 rooms, nicely furnished (bathroom, quality bedding, mosquito net). It is simple, unpretentious, designed with local and natural materials. There is taste, color and a lot of heart. Passionate about permaculture, her garden is full of fruits, vegetables and aromatic plants. Chickens, ducks and rabbits will delight the children.

Nous avons passé un superbe séjour en famille à Rutete. Ce fût 2 jours hors du temps dans un endroit magnifique. Les chambres sont spacieuses, très confortables et l’ensemble de l’établissement est décoré avec beaucoup de goût et de finesse. Le soir, sur la grande terrasse commune, on boit un verre, on admire la vue à couper le souffle, en attendant le dîner servit autour d’une grande table dans une ambiance conviviale. Sans oublier le repas qui est excellent. On y goûte toutes sortes de spécialités rwandaise vraiment délicieuses . Le matin, on peut prendre son petit déjeuner très tôt avant de partir pour le parc de l’Akagera.
C’était un séjour magnifique dans un endroit qui l’est encore plus. Merci beaucoup pour l’accueil !

I was here with a good friend. We traveled by motorbike and wanted to fill our rest day with a safari. A great experience. The lodge is great and designed in detail. The food was of high quality. Definitely recommended!

Our stay at Rutete was one of the best experiences in Rwanda. The warmth and love of Julie's hospitality was indescribable; she made us feel so truly cared for. Each night we would have a three course meal lovingly prepared and served with beautiful music. The kindness and care of this stay was like nothing else. I couldn't recommend Rutete more highly. Thank you Julie for the most beautiful stay. xx
