SAINT-SAMSON CHURCH
This church, which has been awarded the Heritage of the 20th Century label, was designed by the Caen architect Henri Mouillard.
Labelled as a 20th century heritage site, the Saint-Samson church does not go unnoticed. Rebuilt between 1949 and 1955, it is a pure project of the Reconstruction. The original building was razed to the ground, except for its bell tower. It is the first church rebuilt after the war in Calvados. Composed of a nave with five bays, a transept, a cul-de-four apse and a cloister, it is the work of the Caen architect Henri Mouillard, and presents an architecture inspired by Romanesque art. Do not miss the stained glass windows in the nave and the choir.
