It is one of the major events for professional surfers and snowboarders. The Meo Rip Curl Pro is one of the major competitions of the World Surf League. He celebrated his 10th birthday in 2019. The event is organized like a real tournament, with rounds of matches and eliminations in eighth, quarter, half, until the final. During this period, the small village of Peniche began to boil. In 2019, Italo Ferreira and Caroline Marks won the competition.
