PARQUE NATURAL DO SUDOESTE ALENTEJANO
A nature park in south-western Alentejo, home to ospreys, red-billed bitches and carnivorous bats.
It stretches from the Alentejo to the Algarve on a coastal zone rarely exceeding 6 km in width and 120 in length, from the south of Sines to the tip of Cabo de São Vicente and beyond to Burgau. It comprises 60,624 ha of cliffs, shale and limestone coves and 28,992 ha of maritime zones. A domain where ospreys, red-billed bitches and carnivorous bats roam freely.
