SACRED MUSEUM
Museum of sacred art, behind the modest Church of Misericordia, exhibiting numerous religious ornaments from various periods.
Behind the modest Church of the Misericordia, which dates back to 1573 and was rebuilt in the 18th century after the earthquake, this art museum houses a large number of religious ornaments from various periods. Monsenhor Manuel Francisco Pardal, a child of the city who died in 1979, donated most of the exhibits. He was a teacher and writer, and had a notorious ecclesiastical career. In the showcase, for example, there are flags of the Brotherhood of Mercy, as well as statuettes carved in the 17th and 18th centuries.
