A popular beach for surfers, with beautiful dunes, endemic plants and many migratory waterfowl.
Beautiful dunes give birth to a very wide beach of fine sand, typical of the wild aspect of the region, just there, at the mouth of the Aljezur river. Here, wind and force draw the curves of the cliffs, as the hollow under the wall to the south reminds us. The place is known for the large black stone pyramid that marks the northern limit of the beach, and its fossilized dune to the south, where there are some endemic plants. From October to March, many waterfowl migrate and pass through this beach.
