Aljezur is famous for its gastronomy and the variety of its agricultural production. It is here that you will be able to buy seasonal fruits, honey, olives and a multitude of organic products including peanuts produced on site. Don't leave without having a look at the different varieties of sweet potatoes known to be the best in Portugal. Every morning, you can stroll through the municipal market located in the Largo do Mercado on the banks of the river in old Aljezur. A rural market, typical and very well stocked.
