RESTAURANTE PORTARADE
In the village's main square, it's impossible to miss this restaurant, enthroned in the middle of the village. Tourists flock here at lunchtime, as do expatriate retirees from England and France... and with good reason: the food is good and not at all expensive. Menus are put together to suit your appetite, and include classic Portuguese dishes such as pork sauté with clams or traditional fish. The pace is so brisk that the waiter battalion operates in a rather robotic fashion, but the quality and low prices make up for the lack of attention.
