Estombar fountains with picnic facilities, forming a natural pool with the waters of the River Arade.
Water from the fountains rises between the limestone rocks and flows towards the restored, working mill. It meets the waters of the River Arade to form a natural pool. Despite its small size, the area boasts a wide variety of environments representative of the Mediterranean landscape: salt marshes, scrubland and a pond. To get there, head towards Portimão and take the last exit off the traffic circle towards Modelo and Estombar, where you'll see the Sitio das Fontes sign. Good to know: picnic facilities are available on site.
