Fishermen's beach, in the center of town, offering a chance to watch fishermen unravel their nets in front of their colorful boats.
When we mention Albufeira, we automatically think of the beach, and this is legitimate since it has been a mecca for tourism since the 1960s. There are many beaches in the municipality, stretching over 20 km. In the city center, the Praia dos Pescadores ("fishermen's beach"), also called Praia dos Barcos ("of the boats"), is the most typical: you will still have the chance to see the fishermen untying their nets in front of their colorful boats. It is also the most popular with its few bars. In the summer, the town hall organizes concerts.
