CARNAVAL DE LOULÉ

A beautiful carnival, very well known, with a parade of floats, samba and colourful costumes. It's also the festival of almond blossoms
Loulé takes on a festive air in mid-February during his carnival, one of the oldest in the country. For three days non-stop, the streets are adorned with an explosion of colours and come alive with music to the rhythm of the samba. Most of the themes are satirical or even political, even if they are led by Brazilian dancers lightly dressed in feathers. Among the festivities: the traditional parades of floats and their caricatures, cotillion throws and flower battles. This is the golden age of almond blossoms.
