Eating more home-style Portuguese cuisine than at Fernando's is mission impossible. The fact that there are only a few tables and that the plates arrive filled to the brim reinforces this feeling. It's simple, tasty, fresh and highly regressive for the Franco-Portuguese: plump golden sardines, grilled octopus, bacalhau, not forgetting razor clams (the crustacean!) to enjoy as an aperitif, with a vinho verde, standing in the alleyway, waiting for your table... a great moment of conviviality.
