It is a reference to the legend of Floripes, the story of a young Moorish woman dressed in a long white dress, who wanders around every night, lost and abandoned, trapped by an enchantment, waiting for her father to come and get her. The Moura Encantada (the enchanted Moorish woman) particularly affects the Olhanenses and continues to embody the fear of the beyond.
