ILHA DA FUSETA
Fuseta Island opposite the village, with beaches on 2 sides, offering great waves for water sports.
A local favorite, Fuseta lies opposite the village of the same name and is actually the same island as Armona. In fact, the two can be reached by a few kilometers' walk on its golden sands. Unlike Armona, Fuseta is uninhabited, offering only nature and a few snack bars in summer. It has beaches on both sides: an endless one overlooking the ocean with lovely waves for water sports, or one on the quieter, warmer Ria Formosa, offering a beautiful backdrop to the Algarve mountains.
