PARQUE NATURAL DO VALE DO GUADIANA
This area of great ecological and environmental interest offers nine hiking trails.
The park extends over 70,000 ha on either side of the river. Surrounding the sand and mud banks, pine forests, moorlands and farmland provide an environment for a diverse range of fauna: birds of prey (golden eagles, etc.), Iberian toads and theave de presa, the symbol of this natural park, a bird that was already depicted on 11th-century Moorish vases. Nine signposted walking trails are available within this area of great ecological and environmental interest.
