This large market on a large esplanade is a great way to get a glimpse into the life of the Portuguese countryside.

Set on a large esplanade along the road to Cercal, this twice-monthly market is really a fair for everything: hardware, household linen, baskets, pottery, clothes... Not forgetting the best of the local produce: charcuterie, cake stands, cheeses, different varieties of bread... It's a great way to get a taste of life in the Portuguese countryside, with the scent of flowers and dried meat. Why not buy some ceramic plates, and bring a little of Portugal home with you?
