Not content with offering one of the best tables in the village, this restaurant boasts the finest panoramic views of the surrounding area, including the Alqueva dam, the village of Mourão in the distance, and the neighboring Spanish plain for dozens of kilometers. Chef Dona Isabel is as much at the service as she is at the stove, where, after an appetizer of Alentejo cheeses and other petiscos, she concocts some magnificent cod and lamb specialties brought up to date. An address not to be missed in the region.
