It's an ordered pile of eye sockets that, depending on where you sit, end up staring back at you with empty eyes, while a sort of hanging, emaciated body theatrically expresses the ephemeral nature of life.

Par contre, l'église elle-même n'est pas si austère que ce qu'en dit le guide: elle emprunte beaucoup d'éléments à diverses religions, se tenant contre l'Inquisition de l'époque, et les autels sont le reflet de trois styles différents qui étaient en vogue à l'époque: le rococo, le baroque et le classique.
