This 500-meter route connects the two most important religious centers of the medieval era, São Francisco and São Domingo.

For over five centuries, strolling under the arcades of this large square has been one of the locals' favorite pastimes. This 500-metre stretch links the two most important religious centres of medieval times: São Francisco and São Domingo. It was the scene of festivals, knights' tournaments, executions and burning at the stake during the Inquisition. Today, you'll find the town hall, the church of São Antonio, the Royal Crown stables, an 18th-century white marble fountain and numerous cafés where you can enjoy a drink on the terrace.

Praça do Giraldo à Evora, Portugal
