TERMAS ROMANAS
The Roman baths of Évora, revealed in 1987, were the public baths of the time.
Évora's Roman baths were revealed in 1987, during renovations to the oldest part of the town hall. These were the public baths of the time, an essential place where people came not only to wash, but also to talk, meet and even do business. Covering an area of 300m2, the baths are divided into three distinct zones: the Laconicum, a circular room with a ribbed vault (hot and steam baths), the Praefurnium (boiler) and the Natatio (outdoor pool). It's just like being there... a successful restoration!
