ADEGA DA CARTUXA
Wine tours to follow the technical evolution of wine production.
The history of Adega Cartuxa was written by Vasco Maria Eugénio de Almeida, one of Portugal's greatest patrons of the arts and philanthropists, and is now owned by the eponymous foundation, which promotes cultural and heritage activities in the region. The centuries-old building is surrounded by acres of vineyards and olive groves as far as the eye can see. For the record, it was the retirement home of the Jesuits who taught at the University of Evora. Wine tours allow you to follow the technical evolution of wine production.
